As general counsel, Charles "Chuck" Sederstrom brings his expertise in Corporate Law, with particular reference to Health Law, to Alegent Creighton Health, the largest faith-based not-for-profit health care system in Nebraska and southwest Iowa.
Chuck began practicing law in Omaha, Nebraska in 1968 with Donald H. Erickson, and subsequently began the law firm of Erickson | Sederstrom. Sederstrom attended Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota, and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of South Dakota College of Law in Vermillion, South Dakota. Chuck was the Venerable Master of the Scottish Rite, Lodge of Perfection in the Omaha Valley and has been active in Masonic bodies over 25 years. He is a member of the Scottish Rite, the York Rite, and Tangier Shrine, where he has been a member of the Royal Order of Jesters since 1985 and served as its Director in 1998. Chuck was appointed Scottish Rite Deputy of the Supreme Council for Nebraska in May 2007 and Sovereign Grand Inspector General in Nebraska in 2009.
Chuck is an active member and leader in many organizations, including the American Diabetes Association, American Lung Association, Arthritis Foundation, Boy Scouts of America, Goodwill Industries, United Way, Rotary International, Chamber of Commerce and the Omaha Home for Boys. Chuck was president of the Omaha Bar Association in 1984 – 1985. Over the past 20 years, he has been involved with the Salvation Army having served on the local Omaha Board, the National Board of the Salvation Army, and in many other capacities. He received the Salvation Army Others Award in 1994. In addition, he was formerly chairman of the Combined Health Agencies of America.
