Kevin J. Nokels, FACHE
Kevin J. Nokels, FACHE, is the new chief administrative officer of academic and clinical integration for Alegent Health. Kevin leads a team that is assessing and preparing for the integration of Creighton University Medical Center into Alegent Health. In addition, Kevin will lead the expansion of Creighton University academic programs and clinical services into Alegent Health hospitals.
Kevin has been with Alegent Health since its inception in 1996. He served as vice president and chief operating officer of Midlands Hospital for eight years. In that role he was accountable for the day-to-day operations of Midlands Hospital and for the health systems’ laboratory, diagnostic imaging, home care and hospice, occupational health and food and nutrition services.
Prior to his role at Midlands Hospital, Kevin was Alegent Health’s chief integration officer. In this capacity, he provided executive leadership for strategic planning, facilities planning, and was accountable for oversight and coordination of concurrent design, construction/renovation and expansion projects totaling more than $200 million, which included the building and opening of Lakeside Hospital. From 1992 to 1996, Kevin was the Director of Communications and Planning for Immanuel Healthcare Systems in Omaha. Prior to joining Immanuel, he served as the Manager of Research and Planning for St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
Kevin received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Saint John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota, and his Master of Business Administration from St. Cloud State University. He serves on the boards of American Hospital Association Regional Policy Board, Papillion-La Vista TeamMates Advisory Board, Prairie Health Ventures, Sarpy County Chamber of Commerce, Northwest Imaging and Sarpy County Economic Development.
