Richard Vierk, a representative of Catholic Health Initiatives, has served as a Director on the Alegent Health Board since 2007. In addition, he chairs the Alegent Health Governance Committee and is a member of the Board’s Executive, Mission and Values Integration, and Planning Committees.
As the Managing Director of Business Succession Planning for First National Bank, Mr. Vierk oversees the process of evaluating the personal and financial life cycle of a business in order to develop a future plan of action. He provides a trusted advisor role to bank and non-bank clients in consulting with them and their advisors to achieve the maximization of their goals.
A native Nebraskan, born in Grand Island, Mr. Vierk received a degree in accounting from Dana College in Blair, Nebraska, and went on to receive his CPA. He graduated with his juris doctor degree from the University of Nebraska College of Law.
Mr. Vierk is very active in the state and community serving on the Board of numerous organizations, including Nebraska Arts Council, Audubon Nebraska, Arthritis Foundation of Nebraska, Nebraska Arts Association, Public Education Network, Lincoln Symphony, Lied Performing Arts Center, Nebraska Business and Higher Education Forum, Nebraskans for the Arts, St Elizabeth’s Regional Health Center, First Plymouth Church Foundation Board, Creighton Family Business Center and the Cooper Foundation.
