Brigham Becker Brigham Becker is a certified athletic trainer from Axtell, NE. He received his bachelor’s degree in athletic training and exercise science from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Previously he was an athletic trainer at Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte, NE working with North Platte High School and 13 other area schools. Brigham is employed through Alegent Health as an athletic trainer at Millard North High School. |
Jay Carlson Jay is a Certified and Licensed Athletic Trainer working with all of the athletes at Millard West. He teaches AP Biology and Zoology at Millard West High School. Jay received his BS in Secondary Education and Athletic Training from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He was a staff student trainer his last 2 years at Lincoln traveling with the football and wrestling teams. Jay has two Master’s Degrees in Education from UNO and is currently the Chair of the Nebraska State Board of Athletic Training. Jay and his wife Pam and two children; Colin who is a junior at UNL in the PGM (Professional Golf Management) Program and Caitlin who is a senior at Millard West. His wife is the CNO at Children’s Hospital. |
Rachel Fall Rachel Fall is a certified athletic trainer from Arapahoe, CO. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Athletic Training from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She worked for the Shock, a WNBA team in Tulsa for one season between her undergraduate and graduate work. She then worked as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Nebraska Omaha, while obtaining her Master’s degree in Health Education. Currently she practices athletic training at Bellevue West High School, employed by Alegent Health Sports Medicine. Rachel resides in Omaha with her husband, Cheikh, who is a coach at Boys Town High School. |
Christine Gschwind Christine Gschwind is a certified athletic trainer from Audubon, Iowa. Christine received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Health and Sports Studies from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA. She then graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with her Master's in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation with a concentration in Athletic Training. Christine is currently employed through Alegent Health Sports Medicine as an athletic trainer at Omaha Mercy High School and Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart. |
 Craig Holz Craig is beginning his 34th year as an Athletic Trainer at Millard South High School. Craig retired from teaching physiology and athletic training classes in May 2008. He received his B.S. in Education from the University of Nebraska-Kearney in 1975 and a M.S. in Athletic Training from Central Missouri State University in 1976. His wife, Julie, is a retired elementary teacher. His two children are both married and living in the Omaha area and have blessed their parents with 5 grandchildren. |
 Marcus Hurrington Marcus is a Certified Athletic Trainer for Alegent Health Sports Medicine and is the head athletic trainer for Papillion-LaVista High School. Marcus also works with numerous Omaha Metro area events with several high schools. He received his Bachelors in Natural Science with a concentration in athletic training from Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, Nebraska. Marcus also received his Masters in Athletic Training and Sports Medicine from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. |
Jim Johnston Jim is a Science Teacher and Athletic Trainer at Millard West High School. A native Nebraskan, he got his undergraduate degree at Wayne State College in Athletic Training, Physical Education, Health, and Biology (1981) and his Masters Degree in Exercise Science at the University of Nebraska Omaha (1987). He opened Millard North as a Science Teacher and Athletic Trainer in 1981 and worked as an Athletic Trainer for GIKK from 1989 to 1994. He opened Millard West in 1995 where he currently works as an Athletic Trainer and teaches Human Physiology and Athletic Training.
Jim is a fanatic about fitness and health and has extensive volunteer experience. He went through the Olympic Training Center volunteer program (1993-1995) and now travels internationally with USA Track and Field. He has been in several leadership roles in the Nebraska State Athletic Trainers Association, including President from 2000-2004, and was fundamental in rewriting the Athletic Training licensure. Jim has two children, Lindsay at Truman State and Michael at Millard West. His wife, Patty, is a 6th grade teacher at Anderson Middle School. |
 Lisa Moore Lisa is a certified athletic trainer from Omaha, Nebraska. She received her bachelor’s degree in exercise science and finance from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. She then worked as a graduate assistant at Creighton University and obtained her master’s degree through University of Nebraska at Omaha. Previously she was an assistant athletic trainer at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Lisa recently finished her bachelor of science in nursing and is a Registered Nurse as well as a Certified Athletic Trainer. Lisa is employed through Alegent Health as an athletic trainer at Millard North High School. |
 Rick Nelson Rick Nelson is a certified athletic trainer for Alegent Health Sports Medicine and is the Head Athletic Trainer at Bellevue East High School. Rick received his Bachelors of Science from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1995. He worked for the Sports Medicine Center in Omaha from 1996-2001, providing sports medicine coverage for schools in the North Central Nebraska area. For the last 11 years he served as the Director of Sports Medicine for Advance Rehabilitation in the Norwest Georgia area. Rick is also a CPR for the professional rescuer instructor through the American Red Cross. Rick resides in Bellevue with his wife and three children. |
 Deanna Stickney Deanna graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine and Athletic Training from Missouri State University. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Currently she teaches and practices athletic training at Millard South High School. Additionally she is a CPR instructor for the American Red Cross. |

Whitney works at Elkhorn High School providing coverage for all athletic programs and working with athletes on daily rehabilitation. She then moved to Omaha and graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a master’s in Health, Physical Education and Recreation with a concentration in Athletic Training. Becky is employed through Alegent as the head athletic trainer at Papillion-LaVista South High School. |
Stacia Weaver Stacia is a Certified Athletic Trainer with Alegent Health Sports Medicine. She serves as assistant athletic trainer at William Jennings Bryan High School, a member of Omaha Public Schools. She has been certified for thirteen years and has served as Athletic Trainer at both the high school and Division I collegiate levels. Not only is Stacia an Athletic Trainer but she is a full time teacher for Omaha Public Schools educating high school students interested in pursuing careers in health care. Stacia also instructs health care providers in Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association. Stacia holds certifications in Secondary Education Health and History through the Nebraska State Department of Education, Athletic Training through the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification, and is a Licensed Athletic Trainer through the State of Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. Stacia is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Public Health Administration. |
