Dr. Schmidt is a graduate of the University of Nebraska College of Medicine, and completed residency training in general psychiatry at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Subsequently, she completed training in child and adolescent psychiatry at Northwestern University in Chicago. Dr. Schmidt is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both adult psychiatry and in child and adolescent psychiatry, and is the editor of the Pearls of Wisdom Psychiatry Board Review book.
