David Walker M.D. specializes in children/adolescents and young adults from earliest childhood to age 24. He graduated from medical school at the Medical College of Wisonsin in Milwaukee in 1986. He has completed both an adult psychiatric residency in 1990 and child/adolescent residency in 1994. His work experience is extensive and includes private practice in Los Angeles. He's also been involved with multiple programs including Mercy in Sioux City 1998 to 2000 (as Medical Director), Uta Halee Girl's Village in Omaha from 2002 to 2011 (as Medical Director, as well as staff psychiatrist at Aviva Center in Los Angeles, Shandin Hills in LA, and the Los Angeles Free Clinic.
He was in the USAF as a practicing psychiatrist until honorable discharge in 1994. He returns to Alegent having worked as a staff psychiatrist at Bergan from 2000 to 2002.
Interests
Dr. Walker has extensive experience and interest in the issues of adolescents and young adults. Interests include a wide range of issues including depression, psychotic disorders, ADHD and ADD, Conduct Disorder and acheieving and maintaining sobriety. He also has expertise and a strong interest in Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder in young adults.
