I believe that patient care is based upon an honest relationship, focused on communication, respect and empathy. The depth of training I received was second to none and allowed for optimal care across all tumor types, as I participated in clinical research trials while in fellowship focusing on breast and gastrointestinal malignancies.
My own personal life has been touched by cancer, and these experiences have provided a perspective, which has been invaluable to providing support, to not only the patient, but also their family and friends. I understand the diagnosis of cancer can be one of life’s greatest challenges, even though advances are made each and every day which allow us to personalize treatments to patients with a focus on the cure, maintenance of quality of life and increasing duration of life. It is exciting to return to my home community, and I am looking forward to providing a multi-specialty approach to treating cancer.

Hematologists specialize in diseases of the blood, bone marrow, spleen, and lymph glands. They treat conditions such as anemia, clotting disorders, sickle cell disease, hemophilia, leukemia and lymphoma. They administer chemotherapy and perform bone marrow transplantation. Medical oncologists specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of all types of cancer and other benign tumors. They administer chemotherapy as well as work with primary care physicians and other medical specialists.
