Dr. Mittal received his medical degree from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi, India, and completed a clinical esophageal fellowship at the University of Southern California. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons and the Society of Laparoscopic and Endoscopic Surgeons and is certified by the American Board of Surgery.
Dr. Mittal’s interests include benign and malignant disease of the esophagus and stomach, minimally invasive surgery, intensive care of post-operative patients and transoral surgery for reflux disease. He has performed more than 400 laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication procedures. Dr. Mittal is course director of the Annual Esophageal Conference sponsored by Creighton University School of Medicine
