Client:
Adults who present with or call in a psychiatric emergency.
Hours:
24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Service Goal:
To help individuals with emergency psychiatric concerns to obtain appropriate services.
Service Description:
The Assessment Center responds to the psychiatric crisis line and to the Emergency Department at Alegent Health Bergan Mercy Medical Center. The Assessment Center also serves as the after-hours call center for Alegent Health Psychiatric Associates. The Assessment Center determines a level of care and coordinates admissions to the appropriate service/program.
Follow-up Care:
All individuals who contact the Assessment Center will be offered recommendations and treatment options. The Assessment Center will facilitate the acquisition of all emergent services.
Treatment Team:
The Assessment Center is staffed by Lasting Hope psychiatric nursing staff. There is a psychiatrist available for consultation regarding assessments.
