Yoga

Yoga provides physical and psychological benefits. Stretch your mind and your body in this gentle, low-impact Yoga program designed for persons with cancer. You will learn the postures, breathing exercises, and meditation included in the practice of Yoga. Classes are offered on a rotating basis at Alegent Creighton Health hospitals. The cost is $36.

One free introductory session for all new cancer patients/cancer survivors and all previous participants that have attended classes will be funded through Johnson Cancer Trust. Additional sessions will be offered for a nominal fee of $36 per six-week session. The $36 fee will be due to the instructor on the first night of class for each session. Checks made payable to Alegent Creighton Health or cash will be accepted . (A minimum of 6 participants is needed to hold class.) Please bring a pillow and blanket to each class.

"Yoga has improved my range of motion after having cancer and a lumpectomy. I thought this side effect was permanent until I joined this class.
