OMAHA, Neb. — Alegent Health is ranked in the top 100 most integrated healthcare systems in the nation, according to SDI and Modern Healthcare magazine.

As the only health care system in Nebraska or Iowa to make the ranking, Alegent Health placed 44th on the list, scoring 82.18 on a 100-point scale. SDI is a healthcare analytics company that conducts an annual assessment of the 100 most highly integrated healthcare networks (IHNs). SDI's report is regarded as the nation's premier rating system by evaluating IHNs on their performance and degree of integration.

Measuring eight performance indicators, SDI surveyed 576 health systems in the United States on clinical integration, technology integration, utilization and services offered. In light of the current economy and the rising national cost of health care, financial stability is another indicator that carries great influence.
