(OMAHA, NE) - Richard "Rick" Rolston, M.D., FAAP, will join Alegent Health Clinic on Feb. 7, as president and chief executive officer (CEO).

Dr. Rolston comes to Alegent Health with extensive experience leading clinics and physician groups in several states. A board certified pediatrician, Dr. Rolston previously held the CEO positions with Hospital Sisters Health System Medical Group in Springfield, Ill., Prevea Health Services of Green Bay, Wisc. and Lovelace Medical Center and Physician Group of Albuquerque, N.M.

"We conducted a national search to find the right person to lead Alegent Health Clinic into the future," explained Alegent Health President and CEO Richard A. Hachten II, FACHE. “Dr. Rolston is that person and we are pleased that he is bringing his talents and experience to Omaha.

A graduate of the University of Montana, Dr. Rolston earned his medical degree at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine where he also completed his residency in pediatrics.

Dr. Rolston says he looks forward to setting up practice in Omaha after he settles into his new leadership role with the Clinic.

Dr. Rolston will take over the position from interim president and CEO, Larry Brown, M.D., who has been leading Alegent Health Clinic for the past 10 months. Dr. Brown, who is maintaining his practice at Alegent Health Clinic in Bellevue, will be assisting Dr. Rolston through the transition period.
