It looked like a scab, just above his left ear.

A doctor said it was cancer.

But Dustin Peterson, 28, is one of the lucky ones. The biopsy that removed the skin spot also revealed it hadn't spread. Peterson's cancer took a mild form, if there is one: basal cell carcinoma.
