Yvonne Steinbach's doctor called her late one evening in 1998 to give her the bad news.
She no longer could eat wheat. Oats, barley and rye were out, too.
No more Big Macs. No more cookies. No more cake.
Steinbach hung up and burst into tears.
"I thought, 'Lord, what is there left?" Steinbach said. "I had not heard of celiac disease."
