A new class offered at Lakeside Hospital hopes to help delay a fatal, chronic and progressive movement disorder.
Nebraska has one of the highest percentages per capita of people diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
Frank Sobetski was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease three years ago. "I know I'm losing some mobility with some parts of my body," he said.
To help slow the loss of mobility, Sobetski stays active. "I try to come to the gym about three times a week to get the motion," he said.
Sobetski also takes a class at Lakeside Wellness called Delay the Disease. The class focuses on functional movement for patients of Parkinson’s disease.
