Patients must be referred for this service following a brief inpatient hospitialization or by their outpatient psychiatrist or therapist.
The Partial Hospitalization Program provides crisis stabilization through daily, intensive programming. All patients referred are
screened to determine the appropriateness of intensive outpatient care. Upon admission, patients and staff members together develop an individual treatment plan. Patients are treated with an interdisciplinary approach.
Adult patients who are in acute distress or have just completed an episode of acute inpatient care may participate in this program if they are able to function independently and participate actively.
his is a short-term, ambulatory, active treatment program to help each patient regain a balance in body, mind and spirit through
therapeutically intensive and structured clinical services.
When the patient has met treatment goals and no longer needs the partial level of care, follow-up outpatient care will be arranged. Alegent Health provides outpatient services in many locations throughout the Omaha/Council Bluffs metropolitan area.
Professionals on this team may include a psychiatrist, therapist, registered nurse, and therapeutic recreational
specialist. Additional members may include pastoral care or a dietician. Other adjunct treatment team members are available as
needed.
