Alegent Creighton Health Lakeside Hospital opened its doors in August, 2004 as a 45-bed acute care facility. Lakeside Hospital is located at 168th & West Center Road and sits on just over 38 acres, featuring a 68,000 square foot Wellness Center and two medical office buildings.
Lakeside Hospital is dubbed one of the world’s most technologically integrated hospitals in the world today and Alegent Creighton Health’s alliance with Siemens Medical Solutions makes it possible to implement innovative technologies, which integrate medical advances, diagnostic services and information systems. Lakeside Hospital is considered a "smart hospital" which includes all wireless technology, a filmless/paperless environment and all-digital diagnostic center. Other features include minimally invasive surgical suites and bedside registration.
Lakeside Hospital also prides itself on being a patient-centered hospital, where bedside care and family involvement are the hospital staff’s top priorities. It is modeled after the Planetree (SM) model, which creates patient-centered care in a healing environment and recognizes the importance of architecture and interior design in the healing process. The hospital resembles a home-like environment, which is evident from the waiting room fireplaces to smell of freshly baked cookies on every floor.
