Maryanne Stevens, RSM, Ph.D. is the president of College of Saint Mary, a Catholic college for women in Omaha, Nebraska.
Previously, Stevens was the department chair and a tenured associate professor in the Department of Theology at Creighton University, in Omaha.
As the interim director for the New Covenant Justice and Peace Center, Stevens worked with the newly-formed board of directors and the staff of the center to define the educational mission and character of the center.
In her role as the formation director for the Sisters of Mercy, Province of Omaha, she developed and implemented an individualized program for incorporating women into the Sisters of Mercy. She also developed a cooperative program of education for new members of religious orders with other communities of women and men religious in the Omaha area.
Stevens has made numerous presentations to local and national groups on women's issues, gender in the workplace, the value of meaningful work, leadership, Catholic social teaching, women and the church.
Stevens has made significant contributions to our community by serving as a board of directors member for many organizations.
