To be eligible for reimbursement, courses must be approved in advance by the employee's manager. Eligible employees will be reimbursed only for courses which are directly related to the employee's current position or which will enhance the employee's potential for transfer or advancement to a position within the organization.
Eligibility
Full-time (0.8 and above FTE) and part-time (0.5 FTE - 0.7 FTE) employees are eligible to participate if conditions are met. (Refer to Tuition Reimbursement Policy 300.007).
Maximum Annual Benefit
Full-time .8 FTE
$2,500 per calendar year
Part-time .5 FTE
$1,250 per calendar year
Alegent Creighton Health’s Loan Forgiveness Program is intended to help recent graduates in hard-to-recruit jobs by providing assistance with repayment of student loans.
Eligible employees must be employed by Alegent Creighton Health. Employees must have received a degree required for the eligible job within the five years preceding their hire date. A list of jobs currently eligible is shown below. Employees must be working in jobs with a 0.8 or greater FTE (i.e., they work, on average, at least 4 days per week).
Employees must submit current documentation of their outstanding loan balance, along with an Application for the Loan Forgiveness Program, to HR. Loans must be from an agency or corporation engaged in the business of student loans, and the employee must be personally responsible for repayment.
Payments will be made for up to five years, or until the loan is fully paid, whichever occurs first. To remain eligible, employees must remain in the eligible job and FTE status.

What is a Premium Plus Pool?
The Premium Plus Pool is a new nursing pool developed by Alegent Creighton Health for experienced and flexible nurses, providing high quality care to patients across multiple nursing departments.
How will my pay rates for Premium Plus be determined?
Your base rate, shift, weekend and holiday differentials are identical to full and part-time employees. Merit increases are given in an identical manner as for all core staff members. Because Premium Plus is designed to value experience the commitment and incentive pay is determined by the Tier Levels:
- TIER ONE
Commitment: 24 hours every 2 pay periods (4 weeks); Pay Incentive: $3 per hour incentive for all hours worked over 12 hours each week (up to 40 hours weekly).
- TIER TWO
Commitment: 48 hours every 2 pay periods (4 weeks); Pay Incentive: $10 per hour incentive for all hours worked over 24 hours each week (up to 40 hours weekly).
Premium Plus is for you, if you wish to:
- Be rewarded for your experience and flexibility in working in multiple nursing departments within a hospital.
- Have flexibility in building your own schedule, either far in advance of actual shifts or up to 24 hours prior to a shift.
- Maximize your income by working additional shifts.
Premium Plus is not for you, if you:
- Wish the stability of working on a single unit or require a reliable, cyclical schedule.
- Require a full menu of employee benefits.
